It is located 22 km from the town of Zakynthos, in the northeast of the island on the famous Alykon Bay.

Alykes is famous for its salt lakes. It got its name from the salt mine located behind the beach. Alykes has a beautiful huge sandy beach. Walking along Alykon Bay, you will come across a picturesque old bridge.

The place itself is not very big, but it has enough facilities for a quality stay. It has restaurants, cafes and taverns. The winds blow here, so Alykes is a very popular destination for surfers and other water sports.

You can walk to the nearest place – Alykanas, which is about 1 km south of Alykes.
