Antisamos beach

Antisamos beach
beach: combination of gravel and sand, natural shade
After Myrtos, Antisamos beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Kefalonia and in Greece.
It is located near the port of Sami, 22 km from Argostoli. The road itself from Sami to the beach is particularly beautiful, as it passes through the greenest part of the island with tall pine trees. The view from the Agrilion monastery on the beach is also impressive.
The turquoise sea and white sand with perfect white pebbles, and the greenery above the beach, make it magical. The endless blue owes a little to the coarser pebbles on the shore. The water is clear, and the depth is reached very quickly. The only thing that can be a problem is the wind. When it blows from the land, it carries dust from the parking lot directly to the beach. This rarely happens though.

In the last few years, Antisamos beach has become a completely organized and well-kept beach, with sunbeds, umbrellas, water sports, and a snack bar. Because of the clean water, the beach receives the Blue Flag year after year. She gained world fame after the filming of the movie “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin”, where the beauty of the numerous landscapes of Kefalonia was revealed.
On the far right part of the beach are traditionally nudists.
