Athens

Athens
Athens is the capital of Greece and one of the most famous cities in the world. It is a modern and big city. Ancient Athens was a powerful city-state and a famous center of education, philosophy and science.

Athens is one of the few cities where urbanization has not destroyed the relaxed Mediterranean charm. In this beautiful country, time is worth almost nothing, so between 5 minutes and 50 minutes there seems to be no difference. Local residents enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, so even tourists often expect answers like “I don’t know”, “we’ll do it easily” or “why are you upset – drink a frappe”. All in all, with a good time, you can truly relax, enter the Greek world of myths and legends about various Greek gods.

Our tourists are not frequent guests in the central part of Greece, primarily because of the distance from the border and the eternal lack of time and money to get to know this magnificent city in detail. In 2014, our team will visit Athens and make a detailed report, with lots of pictures, videos and texts, to bring you as close as possible to the must-see city.

If you still think that driving 1,100 kilometers (about 12 hours) is too much for you, we suggest you look at the website of the airline companies Air Serbia (here) and Olympic airways (here), whose tickets are sometimes very affordable.

Population: 780,000 (wider city area 3 million)
