Avitos beach
The famous Avitos beach is about 400 meters long. Opposite the beach is the small island of Dias, where, according to legend, the temple of Zeus was located.

The beach has been awarded the “Blue Flag” several times, due to the purity of the water. On the beach you can find showers, toilets, sunbeds, a restaurant and a lifeguard. Avitos beach is sandy, with very fine and soft sand.

The central part of the beach is landscaped, and when you pass the sign “Awarded beach ends here” (see pictures), the undeveloped part of the beach stretches further on. If you continue a little further over that undeveloped part, you can be completely isolated in several bays surrounded by rocks.
Avitos beach is a very beautiful beach, and it is located ten kilometers from Argostoli, so you can visit it and enjoy the wonderful sand and all other amenities.
