Karidi beach
Karidi beach (Eastern Sithonia – Vourvuoru)
Karidi beach is one of the most popular beaches (for our tourists) in Sithonia. Sometimes it’s very crowded because of that. In the high season, it’s hard to find parking, and if you’re an early riser, it won’t be a problem.
This is an ideal family beach because of the very shallow and warm water with white soft sand. The water is green and turquoise. It has its own shade, but you have to arrive early to get a place in the shade. Due to the crowds and the extremely fine sand, the water can get quite muddy. On the edges of the beach there are a lot of rocks that are very active. On the beach itself there are two mini canteens where you can buy sandwiches, ice cream…
Location: Head towards the eastern end of Vourvourou, where you will see a large sign for Karidi Beach. Parking is in the pine forest. GPS(N.40.1922569/E23.8077964)
In the immediate vicinity is the Mikro Karidi beach (it can be reached by a path over the rocks). There is less crowd on that beach, and the beach is very similar to Karida beach. Look at the pictures, we took good pictures of both beaches.
