Kasandria

Kasandria

Kassandria is the largest city in the Kassandra Peninsula, located in the heart of the region about 94 km from Thessaloniki. There is no access to the sea.

By 1870, it was the Metropolis here that moved to the greater Poligiros onshore. In Kassandria, there are remains of Greek temples and a traditional Greek house.

This is where the local Greek population lives. Most of the population works in nearby tourist centers, but a large part of them are engaged in agriculture, especially livestock. When you tour the interior of Cassandra, you will see many flocks of goats and sheep grazing peacefully on the surrounding hills.
