Afytos

Afytos

Afytos is a famous tourist center, located on the east side of Kassandra. Thanks to its authentic ambience, built of stone houses, with beautiful sea views, beautiful sandy beaches, clean and warm sea, fresh air from the surrounding mountains, Afytos is an attractive tourist destination as well as a destination for a longer or longer stay at sea. The rich road infrastructure, as well as the numerous tourist facilities, are the reason why Afitos is chosen as a holiday destination.

Afytos is located about 86 km from Thessaloniki, between Nea Foke and Kallithea on Kassandra. From its terraces there is a beautiful view of Toroneus Bay. The village has many small cobbled streets down which are small restaurants and tavernas with local specialties.

The beach is sandy with some pebbles along which there are deck chairs with umbrellas. It is located below the site and there is local transport leading to them. For most tourists it is not a problem to recreate and to walk on the beach as it is only a 15 minute walk. There are several small bays where there is less crowds for all those who love peace and quiet. In our subjective opinion, the beaches around Afytos are not as striking as the place itself. There are much better beaches on Kassandra.
