Kalives beach, Sithonia

Kalives is a quiet tourist resort south of Poligiros, located between the first and second peninsulas of Halkidiki. It is 65 km from Thessaloniki, 12 km from Nea Moudania and 6 km from the famous Gerakini Resort.

The coastline of the resort extends over 5 km and reaches Gerakini Beach. From Kalives to other places, Kassandra is also reached very quickly by a new highway, and on the opposite side you can visit Metamorfosis (20 km), Nikiti (27 km) as well as other beautiful beaches of Sithonia.

There is still no mass tourism in Kalives, which is why it is a great choice for those who have a quiet and relaxing holiday a priority. If you want music and an organized part of the beach, at the very end of the place there is a large Pasir beach bar that offers a variety of refreshments, ice creams, fast food and the possibility of beach volleyball. This weekend the beach bar is very frequented by the Greeks.
Kalives contains two tavernas, two coffee bars, and a large Marinopoulos supermarket is located right next to the entrance to the place.

Kalives is the Halkidiki that our parents remember: natural and non-commercialized. With the exception of the newly constructed luxury hotel Princess Blue Lagoon, it was fortunately bypassed by ambitious construction projects. The population is still the majority of Greek gastarbeiters.

It is one of the few coastal places in this part of Greece where the day continues for 24 hours, where there is no aggressive neo-folk noise and running around to take up sun loungers.

Kalives beach, certainly one of the special pearls of Sithonia for the wide tourist masses, has only recently become known.
The place itself is full of divine villas and single-family homes, with only a few grocery stores. It is one of the longest beaches on the mainland in Halkidiki.

If spacious, long and clean beaches are what you need, then Kalies beach is the perfect place for you. The beach remained intact even as hotels began to come down the coast.

Sithonia is certainly a peninsula with plenty of pristine, even wild beaches. For every recommendation, rent a car and visit as many pearls of this peninsula as possible.
