Mikri Elia beach, Sithonia

Mikri Elia beach, Sithonia

About 8km south of Nikiti and north of Lagomandra beach there are two more coves and two nice beaches. Some see them as a logical extension of Lagomandra, while others consider them to be the start of Elia Beach. Hence the names Mikri Lagomandra and Mikri Elia are also in circulation. Micro in Greek means “small” even though the beaches are not quite so small. These beaches are a real option for anyone who doesn’t like overcrowding and looking for natural beaches. The first beach is 200m long, identical to Lagomandra: smaller pebble-free pebbles, which is of some importance. The color of the water is turquoise blue, and right by the beach there are trees that spread the piney scent especially intensified when the star hits. Then with crickets and possibly some stray tourist you can comfortably scatter and enjoy this beautiful beach. Several private houses in the hinterland and a road that leads north to the next bay.

The next bay is with a slightly larger beach, 300m long and with trees at the beginning and center. In the northern parts of the beach you will need a parasol, but this is where the easiest access is. The beach is much narrower than Lagomandra, and there is plenty of grass on the coast. But the sea knows how to surprise and take away all that grass like it never was.

The road continues on to the most specific beach of Sithonia by its very simple name, Elia. But first comes the Mitari camp, a site of remarkable features.

Elia beach is 2km long and very specific .. It starts from Spathies beach. Along with the beach there is an asphalt road, which allows access to the beach in several places. The beach is mostly narrow and with natural shade because the area of Elia is extremely wooded. In some places, pines overhang the water itself.

Everyone here can find a nice corner for themselves, to their liking. Most of the beach is with a rocky seabed at the entrance, but there are sandy parts. The beach is organized only in front of luxury hotels and apartments, while the rest of the beach is available to anyone with their own beach equipment.

We recommend Elia Beach to those who are not fans of commercial beaches, but want an intimate place for themselves and their loved ones, a place where they will be secluded and enjoy the beautiful nature, clean sea and beautiful sunsets.
