Las Bandidas beach, Sithonia

Las Bandidas beach, Sithonia

You will find this beautiful beach if, after 5km after Porto Karas, turn right at the signboards for Camping Areti. Take that road all the way to the sea, then turn left and after a 3km drive by the sea and through the pretty picturesque scenery you will come to Stiladario beach, better known as Las Bandidas, because of the eponymous bar and restaurants located there. The beach belongs to the west side of Sithonia. If you do not like the modern beaches of Las Bandidas is the right choice for you.

In the hinterland of the beach there is a parking lot which is partly in the shade so you can combine nice and useful.

The Latin-style beach bar Las Bandidas offers reed umbrellas and sun loungers to its visitors. The deck chairs are positioned at a sufficient distance from each other, so you are given more privacy and space than is the case at other beach bars in Sithonia. As of 2016, there is a mandatory minimum consumption of 8e per lounger. At the beach bar, the music is relaxing, slow and not too loud. The bar is known for Latin festivals that take place four times a year, but also for evening parties.

In addition to drinks, the bar also offers food, so any food and water is strictly forbidden. In addition to coffee and cocktails, there are sandwiches, seafood specialties, spaghetti, pizza and the like. The owners point out that the fruits and vegetables they use are organic and grown in their garden.

If you have your own beach equipment, there is ample space on both sides of the bar to place towels and parasols, and there is plenty of natural shade. In this vacant part of the beach the access to the water is rocky and worse, while in front of the bar the entrance is cleared of rocks. Otherwise, the entire length of the beach is sandy on the coast, and there are rocks in the water. In the unpaved part of the beach, there are two sandy paths (on the left) between the sandy stones. In the unregulated part of the beach there is a belt of several rows of pines that provide deep shade. The water in this part is rich in the sea, so diving can be very interesting.

Las Bandidas Beach is a recommendation for swimmers, lovers of more isolated beaches, lovers of natural shade, snorkeling and crowded relaxation. Not ideal for young children.
