Aretes beach, Sithonia

Aretes beach, Sithonia

Beautiful hidden beach ARETES! 13 kilometers south of Neos Marmaras and about 4 northwest of Toroni. You will certainly not repent if you choose to see it!

Aretes Beach is almost 400 meters long and 10 meters wide and up to 25 meters wide, and is made of coarse sand. It’s almost never crowded because it’s a little harder to find. The road to this beach, as well as all these hidden pearls of Sithonia, is extremely demanding. The combination of earth, stones and gravel with plenty of ascent, downhill, narrowing of the already narrow path. And of course not this time for every car. Our warm recommendation is for slightly more experienced drivers to go here.

Aretes Beach is not organized in a tourist way so it is best to bring all your “props” with you. Here at certain times of the day you can see the ships dock because Aretes Beach is part of an excursion that includes a cruise around the coast of Sithonia, so no matter how remote it is, you can have some fun with a group of tourists who come this way.

The sea here is crystal clear and turquoise. At the far right of the beach you will see campers and certainly feel their relaxed energy and free life. In addition to the camper, it also has a hotel, as well as a small semi-private resort built in the Cycladic style, which is very interesting.

For us, the nicer part of the beach is the northern part which has a longer shallower, more golden sand and turquoise color. This part of the beach is also much wider. From the contents there is only a nice bar with quiet music and plenty of space to set up your own equipment and enjoy quality.

We are eagerly awaiting your impressions!
