Mylopotamos beach

Location: east coast of Pelion, 58 km from Volos town, south of Damouhari town and Fakistra beach
To get to this extremely attractive beach, you must first reach the village of Tsagarada, from where you follow the signpost for Milopotamos beach.

It should be noted that the entire eastern coast of Pelion has heavenly beaches, and Milopotamos is one of the most photographed and visited beaches on the peninsula. The problem is big bends, narrow roads, big uphills and downhills. When you come to one beach, you cannot go along the coast to another beach, but you have to go uphill, on the highway and then down again to the next beach (although you can cross some bad roads to other beaches, but only by off-road vehicles or on foot ). Arriving at Milopotamos, you will soon forget about the road you have traveled. The beach has a large parking lot, and you can reach the beach itself by well-arranged stone steps and a very attractive path with beautiful viewpoints. There are two ways to the beach from the parking lot, one leads right next to the restaurant (we also took pictures of the prices, which are not drastically higher compared to other restaurants), and the other way to the beach leads through a wooden gate (it is in our pictures). Both one and the other path are arranged, the steps are fenced and arranged, so it is very easy to get to this heavenly beach. We advise you to go through both paths, and even to deviate a little from the road, you will be able to take fantastic photos.

Milipotamos beach is divided into two sections – two small coves, between which there is a stone tunnel. When you pass through it, you arrive at another beach that is even more beautiful than the previous one. A few meters from the tunnel on the beach, there is also a small tunnel in the water, through which children love to swim between the two beaches. The sea is a beautiful turquoise color, with small pebbles. The beaches are surrounded by large rocks where there is a lot of shade. In the afternoon, the entire beach is in thick shade, like most beaches in the east of the peninsula. What can appear as a problem are the waves, which are a frequent occurrence in the east of Pelion. We filmed Mylopotamos beach with an underwater camera, see the video HERE.
The first beach is well decorated, on it you can rent sunbeds with umbrellas from the nearby cafe, which is located in the rock itself. There are showers and changing rooms. We took a picture of the prices in the cafe, they are quite decent, and the cafe is very nice. Above it is a path to the parking lot, from which we turned a little and took very nice pictures of the entire beach.

The second beach is slightly smaller, has no facilities and is extremely popular with Greeks, who come here with beach fridges and stay there all day. There is also a huge cave on the beach, where you can hide from the sun, and the entire beach is in the shade in the afternoon. We recommend it to everyone, visiting this beach is a must if you are within 50 kilometers.
