Koropi (Boufa) beach

Koropi (Boufa) beach
Koropi (Boufa) beach is a large beach located between Kala Nera and Afisos. It is 24 km from the city of Volos.

It has fine sand and extremely clean sea, ideal for diving. There is a village of the same name, which is an extremely peaceful place for a pleasant vacation.

There is a green belt next to the beach itself, which gives the sea a beautiful turquoise color. You can visit the place of Rhamnos, not far from the main highway, where there used to be a temple dedicated to the prophecy of Apollo. Also here is Paliopyrgos, the former ancient city of Koropi. The area itself is known for its cultivation of pears, where the “Kristalia” brand is especially famous.

In spring, gardens full of these trees look spectacular. The fine golden sand is ideal for families with small children, and sunbeds with umbrellas can be rented on the beach from the nearby beach bar. On the beach itself, there is hotel accommodation, taverns with seafood specialties. You can walk to the neighboring town of Cala Nera in about 15 minutes of easy walking through rows of olive groves. There is also an organized bus service that leads to Koropi Beach. In August, the beach can be crowded. For us personally, Koropi beach did not leave a strong impression compared to other beaches of the Pelion peninsula.
