Afytos, Kassandra
Afytos is a famous tourist center, located on the east side of Kassandra. Due to its authentic ambience, built of stone houses, with beautiful sea views, beautiful sandy beaches, clean and warm sea, fresh air from the surrounding mountains, Afytos is an attractive tourist destination as well as a destination for a long or long stay at sea. The rich road infrastructure, as well as numerous tourist facilities, are the reason why Afytos is chosen as a holiday destination.
It is located about 86 km from Thessaloniki, between Nea Foke and Kallithea on Kassandra. From its terraces there is a beautiful view of Toroneus Bay. The village has many small cobbled streets down which are small restaurants and tavernas with local specialties.

Afytos is a non-standard place, quite different from other popular resorts on Kassandra. The beach is not on par with other Kassandra beaches, but the style of the place is something that attracts tourists to always return.
The beach is sandy with a little gravel, in some parts there are a lot of rocks at the entrance, so that trails are made that enter the depth. There are deck chairs with parasols along the beach. It is located below the site and there is local transport leading to them. Most tourists do not have a problem walking and walking on the beach because it is only a 15 minute walk. There are several small bays where there is less crowds for all those who love peace and quiet.
