Agioi Saranta – one of the most beautiful beaches of the Pelion peninsula
Saranta is a real gem and according to many the most beautiful beach of Pelion.

Going south from the town of Chorefto, you come across a 1 km long local road that is steep and narrow. It is difficult to get around someone on it, however, the beach is worth every effort because a beautiful turquoise sea awaits you, a large number of sunbeds, umbrellas, cafes. At the entrance to the place there is a small slope, nothing terrible to drive (on some websites they describe it as a slide that takes your breath away). We took pictures of that very entrance to the city, believe me it is no steeper than Balkanska street in Belgrade (even less steep, but the asphalt is slippery when going up). So, feel free to go to Saranta, it’s a little more difficult to pass vehicles on the road, but certainly one of the most beautiful beaches of Pelion is worth the slightly harder drive.
Be sure to arrive early, especially if you come in the peak season or on weekends, it’s very crowded and it’s hard to find parking. We took a few pictures of the entire driveway and parking lot, so you can see how it looks. Agioi Saranta beach is mostly visited by the younger population of Greeks, who go to another part of the beach, near the “Monk” cafe. In the first part of the beach there is a large beach bar, with umbrellas, sunbeds and soft music, the beach is beautiful, the sand is fantastic, and you can hide from the sun in a small cave located ten meters from the cafe.
The first part of the beach is very beautiful, for all generations. Deck chairs and umbrellas can be rented, or you can bring your own. The beach is big, there is a lot of free space. If you continue for about ten meters, you come across rocks with a carved monument on top, in fact it is more of a grouping of rocks, between which there are small beaches that are usually occupied. When you pass that group of rocks, you come to a slightly larger beach where the party has just started. A large number of girls and young men come right here, next to the already mentioned cafe “Monk” – if you are looking for a place where you can find your soulmate – this is the right place for you. We only took a few photos, we didn’t want to disturb the fun. WE RECOMMEND this beach to YOUNG PEOPLE, the sand is top quality, the sea is crystal clear, the girls and boys are dressed up, the party is waiting only for you. Please note that you do not drink alcohol, because of the way you have to go back, the bends are very dangerous.
Most people return to Pelion year after year, precisely because of Ag. Saranta. This is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches of the Pelion peninsula, it is very well arranged and organized. The road is full of bends, quite steep (it’s nothing terrible, but it’s not harmless either), so we advise you to be careful while driving, but also to visit this beautiful beach.
