Agios Ioannis beach
Going from Nikiti towards Neos Marmaras, after only 4km, you will come across Agios Ioannis beach which is visible from the main road, and because of its vertical orientation to the road, it provides a great opportunity for panoramic photos of this 700m long sandy beach. The water is turquoise and very clean, and the shallows together with fine sand make Agios Ioannis beach very suitable for small children. Only on a few small parts of the beach you can come across stones. The beach is organized and partially decorated. There are two beach bars where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds.
The only problem could be the beach bar on the beach that plays loud music, so it can be noisy.

The beach is located 4 km south of Nikiti. From the main highway you have a beautiful view of the beach, so it’s hard not to notice it. The water is green and turquoise in color and the beach itself is about 700m long. The beach is sandy and ideal for children.
Of course, you can also bring your beach gear as there is really plenty of space to set up your towels, sunbeds and umbrellas. At the very left end of the beach (the part next to the main road) there is a very interesting bar on two levels, full of greenery and flowers, with a great view of the sea in front of you. Created for relaxation and enjoyment. There is enough parking space, you will probably find some shade, and access to the beach is easy. Near Agios Ioanis there are also Kalogria and Koviou beaches, so you can also visit them.
Somewhere in the middle of the beach is the Riviera bar, opened in 2016. It is a large and modern bar, located on a wide part of the beach. The bar is well decorated and offers a cafe with covered tables and chairs where you can sit with your friends, have a drink, play board games or order some of the fast food prepared at the bar.
There are deckchairs and umbrellas of two categories on the sand. In the central part there are deckchairs with thicker mattresses and large umbrellas, and renting a set of two such deckchairs and one larger umbrella costs €10. With the set, you can get a free lazy bag or a chair – a lounger. Apart from these more modern deckchairs, there are also more ordinary ones, but still of better quality than the standard deckchairs that can be seen on the beaches, and they are available in a set of two deckchairs and one umbrella for €5. If you rent sunbeds, you are not obliged to order a drink.
Within the bar there are also double beds that you can rent for €5, as well as some empty space in the shade right next to the bar where you can set up your equipment. There is no charge for sunbeds at the bar after 5:30 pm or a little later on the weekend, so you can stop by then, because it is the most beautiful part of the day on this beach and the period when there is more shade.
There is a huge parking lot behind the bar that you can use for free whether you are visiting the Riviera bar or using the free part of the beach.
Bar Riviera has no strict rules about bringing in your own food or drinks. Within the bar there are well-maintained and new toilets, showers and changing rooms.
