Ammes beach
Ammes is an excellent sandy beach, located 10 km from the town of Argostoli, and in the immediate vicinity of the village of Svoronata in the south of Kefalonia. It is a totally commercial and organized beach, covered with sunbeds and umbrellas, which you can rent from nearby bars and taverns on the beach.

The beach has fine and soft sand, clean water, a pleasant and gradual entry into the water, so it is recommended for families with small children. On the beach, there is a lifeguard, showers, changing room, first aid and a toilet at your disposal. The access to the beach is completely arranged (there is an access for the disabled) as well as a parking lot next to the beach itself.

The beach is spacious enough, and we didn’t notice a big crowd on it during the season. Most of the tourists who stay on the beach stay in the village of Svoronata, where there are plenty of private accommodations and smaller family hotels. The only airport on Kefalonia is also nearby.
