Chanioti

Chanioti

Chanioti is located on the east coast of Kassandra 105 km from Thessaloniki and only 2 km from Polychrono. This small place is very picturesque with nicely decorated squares, fountains and a beach promenade. The central fountain square is the largest attraction that houses as many as six streets in Chanioti. All those streets were turned into pedestrian zones, where there is no traffic in the evening. The place is very cheerful with rich nightlife, taverns, pizzerias, restaurants, cafes, patisseries. It could be said that accommodation is somewhat more expensive in Hanioti than in the neighboring Polychron and Pefkohori.

The name Chanioti was named after the town of Chania in Crete, where according to tradition, the first resident to settle in this region was from the town of Chania. Chanioti is one of the most visited places by our tourists. The beach in Chanioti is a tidy and organized beach with pure white sand and a Blue Flag. Deck chairs are rented with paid drinks from nearby cafes along the beach. There are lifeguards on the beach and water sports available. Along the beach there are numerous tavernas and hotels that offer high quality accommodation.
