Kalithea beach

84 km south of Thessaloniki, on the road to Polychron, in the center of the Kassandra Peninsula (on the east side) is a very attractive tourist village – Kalithea, located between Afitos in the north and the settlement of Kriopigi in the south, three and five kilometers away. It leads to the capital of the Kassandria Peninsula in the west, 4.5 km away and the resort of Siviri (9km). About 800 people live in Kalithea. The number of residents of the picturesque place is multiplying in the summer. Most Indigenous people are involved in tourism that has deep roots in this area. Many hotels, discos, cafes and other souvenir and entertainment facilities have been built. Kalithea is known and attractive for its rich nightlife and tourist offer and for the most discerning visitors. The pride of the city is a spacious park with a beautiful vista and views of Torones Bay and the open sea.

The beach of the same name from the city center can be reached in two ways: by a long, detour without any noticeable falls and ascents and directly from the park to the sea, descending down exactly 105 steps, which are of particular interest, especially for young people and children. The older ones would rather be around.

One way and another you reach the beautiful coast and the beach with “golden sand”. The scene is idyllic. The beach between the lush greenery in the background and the crystal clear blue of the sea, the depth of which is reached after a long walk in the shallows. Ideal for children and seniors. Part of the beach is covered by the building of the Hotel Amon Zeus, and the beaches to the left and right of the building are equally attractive, offering everything that a beach stay can enjoy: sports requisites for water, deck chairs and parasols, drinks, ice cream, to the unavoidable gyros and shorter boat cruises.
