Kassandra – info

Kassandra is the first and most populated island of Chalkidiki. It is characterized by clear blue sea, beaches that have the Blue Flag, traditional villages, modern tourist resorts and ancient Byzantine monuments. The most popular places for our tourists are Pefkochori, Hanioti and Polychrono, and in recent years the offer has been increasing in other places (Fourka, Kriopigi, Kalithea …)

The peninsula extends 50 km in a longitudinal direction from northwest to southeast, and the maximum width of the peninsula is 15 km. Unlike neighboring Sithonia and Athos, there are no high mountains and hills here and the highest altitude is 353 m. Kassandra is located between the two Toreneos bays in the east, and Teramaikos in the east. Today, Cassandra has 44 settlements with more than 13,000 inhabitants, and about 100,000 tourists a year. In August, it can be quite crowded, with most tourists coming from Serbia. Don’t be surprised to see a “Speak Serbian that the waiter understands you” sign in front of the restaurant.

East Coast: Nea Potidea, Nea Fokea, Afitos, Kalithea, Kriopigi, Polychrono, Hanioti, Pefkohori, Paliouri.

West Coast: Nea Plaia, Flogita, Nea Moudania, Sani, Siviri, Furka, Posidi, Kalandra, Nea Skioni, Loutra.

The east coast is extremely popular with our tourists, it has a somewhat calmer and warmer sea. The west coast faces Thessaloniki, popular with the Greeks, above all the Sani resort.

Inside Kassandra is the traditional village of Kassandria and Kassandrino. Kassandra has white sandy beaches, various taverns, cafes, modern hotels, apartments, so it provides everything you need for a quality vacation.
