Kriopigi
Kriopigi is located on the east coast of Kassandra about 95 km from Thessaloniki and 4 km from Kalitea on the green hills overlooking Toroneos Bay. In the present sites of Kriopigia there were the ancient cities of Neapolis and Flegra.
The trademark of the place is two beautiful beaches with soft sand, which, because of the extremely clean water, have a Blue Flag. Due to the crystal clear water, shade along the coast, Kriopigi is one of the very best tourist destinations. There are numerous cafes and tavernas along the coast. Kriopigi has numerous small coves that are fished and excellent for diving. The beaches are well organized, with a calm sea and are ideal for families with young children.
Kriopigi literally means cold source, today it is a charming village with about 500 inhabitants, which consists of practically two parts.
The old town is situated on a hill overlooking Sithonia, characterized by the red roofs of houses and a series of narrow streets. Surrounded by pine forests and olive groves, there is a stone amphitheater where you can enjoy cultural events during the summer.
The newer part of Cryopigi is located along the coast, so most tourists focus on this part of the resort. Although with a number of bars, the nightlife is quite peaceful, but you can enjoy some of the tavernas in the beautiful sea view. The attraction of the place is also a tourist cart that rides around and is ideal for sightseeing.
The traditional holidays of the place are a holiday dedicated to St. Paraskevi on July 26 and a holiday dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 15.

There is an Educational Research Center in Cryopigi where pedagogues from all over the world come together to attend various scientific seminars throughout the year. The place has excellent hotels and other accommodation facilities such as campsites, private accommodation, bungalows and the like.
