Metamorfosis beach, Sithonia

Metamorfosis beach, Sithonia

At the very entrance to the Sithonia Peninsula, about 90 kilometers from Thessaloniki, there is Metamorfosis. Protected by dense pine trees on all sides, it has been officially declared an air spa. It is extremely attractive to anyone with respiratory problems or asthma. Metamorfosiz is a fun fishing village with only 500 inhabitants, which in the summer turns into a tourist spot for everyone’s taste. There are several sandy and pebble beaches in the vicinity with plenty of greenery.

The beach at Metamorfoss is sandy and pebble and tidy. During the tourist season, it was extremely well visited.

The main promenade is rich in tourist amenities. Shops, cafes, tavernas, pharmacies … Lidl is located six kilometers away, in nearby Nikiti.

At the end of the promenade is Metamorfozis Park, a children’s playground, as well as very accessible tavernas and pizzerias. Below Metamorphosis Park is the first beach, a little narrower than the other beaches in the surrounding area. It is decorated, has a beach bar, deck chairs and parasols. South, next to the Porto Matina Hotel, begins a slightly wider beach, also with deck chairs and parasols. The unregulated beach, with its natural shade and green areas above it, is located north of the center, along the aforementioned children’s park and below the Olympic Bibis Hotel.

Metamorfosis is also known for the children’s camp built here.

The very location of the Metamorphosis and the forests surrounding it guarantee a deep and peaceful sleep, but also lower the temperature by a few degrees during the night compared to other resorts of Sithonia.

Our recommendation is that families with children come here and for anyone who wants to get over the fresh, intoxicating sea air.
