Mourtias beach

Mourtias beach is located in the southeast of the Pelion peninsula, 2 km from the village of Liri and the village of Katigiorgis. These attractive rocks are the target of many visitors and lovers of good photography.

In 2005, Mourtias was classified as a beach of “extraordinary natural beauty” where it was in the enviable 7th place and is one of the most beautiful beaches in Magnesia.

In the village you will find a nice selection of accommodation for your comfortable vacation. Here is the newly built, beautiful church of Agios Efstathios, and every year on September 20, a traditional and religious festival is held, with a large number of guests.
The beach is basically sandy, with plenty of rocks and stones. It has extremely clean water. There are no facilities on the beach, you cannot rent umbrellas with sunbeds, and there are no taverns where you can buy something to eat.

Although the beach is small, it has all the attributes for a relaxed vacation and is the perfect destination for anyone looking for peace and escape from everyday life. The Cultural Fishing Association is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of this beautiful beach in the south of Pelion. The nearest medical center and major shopping can be done in Argalasti.
