Nea Moudania

Nea Moudania is a large Greek town, geographically belonging to Kassandra, located on the mainland about 64 km from Thessaloniki. In addition to tourism, the town has developed agriculture, mechanical engineering and fishing. Nea Moudania is one of the largest fishing ports in Greece. About 6500 people live in the village, mainly engaged in sardine production, agriculture (olives, apricots, peanuts).

Who wants to see an ordinary city in Greece that is not designed for tourists, Nea Moudania is an ideal destination.

There are cafes along the beach and various water sports are organized. The beach is mostly locals from the place. There are better, wider, sandy beaches on the way out.

– Panagia Corifini Church (attractive three nave church)

– open-air theater (with a capacity of 2000 people)

– 14th century Byzantine tower with 1842 church

– outdoor market (every Wednesday)

– Museum of crustaceans and marine animals
