Nea Skioni

Nea Skioni is located in the southwest of Kassandra and is about 110 km away from Thessaloniki. According to the ancient historian Thucidides, Nea Skioni was a place built after the Trojan War, by soldiers from the Peloponnesians who stopped there to spend the winter.

The village is home to about 84o people who are mainly fishing, producing honey and olive oil. Nea Skioni has a rural port, which is the largest port in the Kassandra Peninsula. Many fresh fish boats come here.

There are many hotels, apartments, tavernas with fresh fish, shops with all kinds of souvenirs and food in Nea Skioni.

Nea Skioni has a white sand beach that has been awarded the Blue Flag for its clean water. From the beach you will have a magnificent sunset in Thessaloniki Bay.
