Pefkochori is a place on the east coast of Kassandra, 115 km from Thessaloniki. Travel agencies mostly lead tourists to Pefkohori, which is also a favorite of the Greeks. In August, here she can be a big crowd. There are new and old Pefkochors that are connected by narrow streets. The old name of Pefkohori is – Kapsohor, which means burning country, because in the past it was constantly burned by pirates who used to be in Toroneos Bay. The name Pefkohori means “Pine Village” because the place is surrounded by lush vegetation of pines and olive groves.

The beach in Pefkohori is long, quite narrow in some parts. It has a blue flag for extremely clean water. The water is shallow and warm, making it ideal for families with young children. There are numerous water sports organized on the beach. Along the beach there are numerous cafes where you can get deck chairs with parasols with a paid drink.
