Pessada beach, Kephalonia

Pessada beach is located near the port of the same name, from the road to the port turn off at the sign “Villa Mandalay” (which you can see in our pictures). The road leads a few hundred meters to a small parking lot (if you are late, you will have to park a little further). A narrow path with stairs leads from the parking lot to Pessada beach. In fact, the road first takes you to the Pessada part of the beach, which is not very representative. It’s a nice beach, you can swim, but the real surprise is hidden behind the rocks on the right, over which an unmarked path leads. You may not know where to go – just wait, someone will come along who knows where to go. That little hidden Pessada beach is very popular and frequented, so there will be someone who knows where to go.

Basically, it’s a short way, maybe a hundred meters, but if you don’t have the courage to go on your own – wait a minute.

Pessada beach – the most beautiful part – is a small cove, with beautiful sand and endlessly clear water. The entrance to the water is gradual, so a large number of parents with children and even babies come to the beach. There is very little natural shade on the beach, from the rocks and surrounding trees, so the struggle for shade is big and hard 🙂

You should start early, and we advise you to bring an umbrella and relax.

Please note that the beach does not have any facilities, bring water and food, and if you listen to us – there you are again the next day. Pessada beach leaves no one indifferent, the sea is extremely clean and swimming is a real pleasure.

Another interesting detail is the proximity of the port, from where boats leave for Zakynthos, so you will have the opportunity to see ferries and some smaller boats several times a day. Don’t worry, the waves they make won’t bother you.
