Petani beach Kephalonia

Petani beach Kephalonia

location: west coast of Kefalonia, north coast of Paliki peninsula

There is no public transport to the beach, so you can only get there on your own, either by car or boat. There are a lot of bends to the beach, and the road in the lower part ends with sharp serpentines. However, we are of the opinion that the approach to Petani is easier than to Mirtos beach.

Many people say that Petani Beach is a copy of Mirtos Beach. Petani is characterized by a combination of white pebbles and crystalline blue-green water. The very approach to the beach offers a view that leaves you speechless. Petani has been on the list of the 5 most beautiful beaches in Kefalonia for years, so we highly recommend it. Wind is common, so be prepared for big waves. We also recommend water shoes, especially for small children.

A lot of luxury hotels have been built in this area, which is why the beach is well-groomed, and we can no longer talk about the wild bay and untouched nature of Kefalonia. Thus, you will be able to rent deck chairs with umbrellas on the beach, and enjoy a drink in numerous restaurants and canteens right on the coast. The sunsets here are magnificent. The rental of sunbeds in the past years was EUR 6 for two people. In August, the beach is more crowded, so you should arrive early to get a parking spot.
