Platania (Doherio) beach Sithonia
In the immediate vicinity of Sarti, there is the beautiful, almost unspoiled beauty of the Platania beach. It is located south of Sarti, just a kilometer from the center towards Sikia. A shorter, dirt road leads to it, ending with a parking lot in the shade of a plane tree. Platania beach is a natural continuation of the city beach in Sarti, separated from it by a rocky promontory.
The beach is wide and sandy both on the shore and in the water. The entry into the depth is gradual. There is a beach bar on the coast with sunbeds and umbrellas that you can get with a drink. Most of the beach is available to visitors with their own equipment.
This beach is very beautiful and uncrowded even in the height of the season, so it is ideal for everyone who likes peace and quiet, but also for families with children because of the sand. All those who come here will be able to see Athos.
In addition to the beach bar, this beach also has a tavern in its hinterland with decent prices and a pleasant atmosphere.
South of Platania beach there is another bay, more difficult to access and usually used by nudists.
