Punta beach

Punta beach

Just below Afitos, next to the city’s main beach, is Punta Beach (Pounta).

It is named after the beach bar of the same name as most beaches on Kassandra. One simple principle applies: if you order a drink at the Punta Bar – you can use deck chairs and parasols at Punta Beach. If you bring your own drink, then bring your own deck chairs and umbrellas, which you can use on the untidy part of the beach.

Punta beach is sandy, the water is crystal clear and warm, with a gradual increase in depth. Recommended for families with young children. Due to the close proximity of Thessaloniki (one hour drive), there can be a big crowd on weekends, so we recommend a visit on weekdays.

In the immediate vicinity is the town of Afitos, with its beautiful traditional houses, narrow streets and excellent taverns and restaurants. You can also come to Punta Beach in the evening, walk the miles of Afitos beaches, and stay up late into the night when the beach bar parties begin. Nearby is a parking lot for visitors to the beach.
