Useful information about Sithonia

Name was received Sithonia by Sithonas, Poseidon’s (Poseidon god of the sea in Greek mythology) son.

Sithonia, the perfect harmony of mountains and sea. A place where the immaculate beauty of the Mediterranean pine forests, white sandy beaches, clear turquoise sea and azure blue skies enchant visitors from the first moment.

Our tourists have been coming to Sithonia in recent years with their own transportation or buses. For all those who want to reach Sithonia more comfortably, the proximity of Thessaloniki gives the opportunity to reach Sithonia by plane. As of last year, charter flights were introduced during the season, so this variant may be more cost effective than a few years ago. From the Thessaloniki airport, you can get anywhere in Sithonia by taxi or rent a car.

There is no railway in Halkidiki, including Sithonia.

What every tourist wants to know is what can be seen in the chosen tourist destination without having to be organized by an agency. Here are some of our recommendations:

From Neos Marmaros you can take a wonderful stroll through the Psaria pine forest and visit Itamos (nearby hill). In St. Neos Marmaras, St. Panteleimon’s Day is celebrated every July 27,
